I was told by landlord the cables in the apartment are satellite cables. I don't want to pay for sky but I'd rather have free channels. Can I use the current satellite dish to use freesat ?
Do I necessarily need a freesat box if my tv is equipped with dvb-s ?
How can I use a ca module on my tv ?

Francois: If your TV has DVB-S (which is very unusual) they just connect it to the satellite point.

If not, then grab a Freesat box from a store, and connect this to the satellite point.

You can't use the CA module on your TV for this.

I have a Old Sky Sat Dish. At the moment I have the Basic Sky free to view.
I want to get a Sat top box will it work OK on the Sky Dish?
Kind Regards,

John

Brian... when contributors to your site expressed an informed preference for FM audio over DAB you placed them in to a "disillusioned DAB folder" or something similar... shouldn't the above posting be removed by now? Despite your actions... still like your site...

Ezekiel: As you can't get a UK signal, the module is useless to you.

stewart Quigley: The CA or "conditional access" module containing the viewing card plugs into the slot in the TV to enable subscription services to be accessed, if you open the undermentioned link it will give you an idea of what I am referring to.
