Since Monday 20 June when I set my VCR to record I am only getting an onscreen message "software download in progress" it showws a progress bar about 50% complete. I did not set vcr on Tuesday night as I assumed my freeview box was trying to update but failing to do so. However i still got the message today. My vcr is set to start taping at 10.30am but tonight it won't let me set the timer because the message is still appearing on the screen.
I have an asda freeview box and an analogue tv and vcr.
