Transmitter engineering:
Hi. We are only getting BBC channel's at the moment, but not the HD ones. We get our signal from the the HD ones. We get our signal from the Hagg Wood relay transmitter (Freeview lite).

Hello,

Since the weekend, we are only able to receive the main BBC channels from the Hagg Wood transmitter. I have done a retune but this has made no difference. I might add that this transmitter has often been problematic over the years.

Chris.SE:
Further to my post of yesterday, I have now managed to recover the tv channels that are delivered through channel C39 and C45, but I am missing channel C42 altogether. Any further help would be appreciated. My postcode is HD9 7HR and my house number is 38 if that helps.

Chris.SE: Hi Chris. Thank you for your response. I have tried a manual retune for UHF C42, but it it is still missing. I only have C39 (26 tv channels) and C45 (11 tv channels). I can also confirm that my arial, which is mounted on the roof, points directly at the Hagg Wood transmitter and the rods are vertical. There are no obstructions between my arial and the transmitter. It is directly in line of sight of my arial across the valley. The main transmitter for the region, Emley Moor is the other side of some hills from us and there are also many buildings and trees between us and we cannot physically see Emley Moor Mast from our house. If I am unable to restore C42 to my channel list, then my next step will be to engage a local arial installer and see if it's possible to erect an arial on my roof supported by a mast to raise it to a high enough level in order to receive a signal from Emley Moor. I would be glad of any advice you could give on this course of action. Thank you again for taking the the time to read and respond to my posts.
