Grateful for some pointers...

I've a loft mounted aerial, tuned into Mendip - no historical issues.

Watching tv Friday night no problems, yet Saturday morning I can only receive BBC channels, all others are 100% strength 0% quality - Chanel idents and EPG available - broken sound no image.

Have checked aerial for damage and no obvious signs of damage, post code checker reports no problems.

Thoughts?

Hi Chris, thank you...Fortunately I had read one of your previous links about not retuning...

I've just ordered a variable attenuator to see if that helps dial the signal strength down a bit. However, after numerous hours of faffing, leaving it, a quick check about an hour ago reveals that all is back to normal - all channels have returned so assume a transmitter issue or consequence tropospheric ducting...

Either way, it's working - thanks for taking the time to reply.

I've hadno reception on anything other than BBC for all of last week again then mysteriously yesterday it's all come back online again...

Today the signal is very pixilated but just about' watchable.

It's starting to become quite frustrating....

Hi All

By means of a recap - North East Bristol - I have a loft mounted aerial tuned to Mendip which has been received reception fine without any issues until Nov 23 when we sporadically started to loose various "non BBC" channels.

Periodically we would loose various channels throughout the Freeview range for anywhere between 12 and 24 hours for them to return. This has continued for a number of months only for just at the point of calling an aerial tech to come back and look only for the channels to return and work again.

Over xmas much like the previous posters, we lost a lot of the non BBC channels over the Xmas period often for days on end and this continued until the new year when all channels returned fine for about a week.

As of Sunday I now have ALL channels but absolutely nothing on PSB2 not so much as a signal just "Service Unavailable" (before there was a high power but low quality signal blocky image and sound).

I'm totally bemused by this as all the other channels operate as expected, and I'm also confused by the sporadic nature of the signal coming and going.

I have contacted Restore TV who have said that a phone mast was upgraded nearby six years ago but nothing else since...

Am I dealing with an interference issue or should I just rip out the aerial and downlinks and start again?! (not expecting anyone to know the answer but to share your thoughts!)

Hi all

By means of an update...just for info imaProject Manager and hence no tech knowledge of frequency and things p...I just want my tv to work;)

I've been in touch with RestoreTV again yesterday who have again confirmed masts are in proximity to our address and - according to advice they have provided - in a frequency range that will likely interfere with PSB2' and filters are being sent through for me to install.

I am in BS16 6 located near to the Avon Ring Road and M4. This area has5G coverage along with multiple mobile traffic monitors located on every lamp standard along the Ring Road ...to say the area is congested across the spectrum is an easy assumption to make...
