I suppose if BBC channels were not on the Sky EPG there would be more TV license evasion by people claiming they could not receive the service they are being told to pay for.

Now I know this would not hold up in court, but the BBC must be aware that the reduction in revenue and the need to increase enforcement could have an impact on their finances.

I suspect that some compromise will be reached.

will: I guess Cambridge is the right direction from Bridlington. Probably some Atmospherics helping the signal get to you. Have another try when the weather changes before you consider removing the Amp.

In the Analogue days, from Lincoln I have picked up every main transmitter in England except Caldbeck with help from Atmospherics. In fact the Hannington transmitter (Meridian region) often appeared noise free

I would guess that Ch30 is a lower power because of the lower risk of co-channel at the edge of the reception area.

It could easily be co-channel causing the reception difficulty on Ch53 in Halifax

Peter, the signal is lower on that MUX than the PSB, but it's higher than it was.

Unless you are behind a hill (Belmont is to the NE from you) then you should get a good signal. If the aerial is in the Loft, it may be worth moving it outside - I assume the TV was OK at your previous address.

That is for when Ofcom sell off the top part of the current TV band for 4G. I believe that 4G operators will have to pay for filters for vulnerable people but not for the Gen Pop.

If the 4G transmitters are setup properly, I wouldn't expect much if any problems for people with a decent aerial/co-ax.

I've found an error already :)

On the mast closest to me, it shows as O2, EE and 3, in fact O2 is not sharing that mast, it's on it's own (on a farm building) about 250m away. Is there a way of submitting error reports?

I for one am looking forward to a fill-in for Lincoln City, the signal now is considerably worse than it was 10 Years ago, they could co-locate with the planned local mux transmitter. I've no interest in local radio or Radio 4, just Test Match Special.

If Planet Rock is not stereo, then it's very good fake. It's not that long ago that they played a track with different vocals coming from the left and right speakers, just like on the original recording.

On Wednesday afternoon I did a scan on Doddington Road, Lincoln and got Estuary TV at signal 1/10 but working OK - I guess it's spreading further west than expected.

BBC News HD has been active (Testing) on Satellite for several days, it's 1080i but looks like upscaled SD. BBC3 HD and BBC4 HD are active in programs testing tonight, previously just test cards and DD5.1 audio test, both do look like 1080i
