This transmitter has no current reported problems

The BBC and Digital UK report there are no faults or engineering work on the Kendal (Cumbria, England) transmitter.

UK Free TV shows the coverage area for a radio transmitter as a coloured overlay (orange for FM, other colours for DAB) on the grey map. We have computed the coverage by combining the terrain with the official radiation pattern. A single click will select the transmitter to view the coverage for a single site, and a double click goes to a page showing full details. Click on the buttons in the right-hand corner of the map to choose from different frequencies (or multiplexes for DAB).

Was surprised to find this week extra channels (ie Capital, LBC) on my Revo K2, indeed looking at this sites DAB reception predictor Kendal is just inside the reception area from Lancaster for the Nth West multiplex, although my aerial needs to be pointing horizontally south

Blawith Ulverston Cumbria LA12 8EG The use of a DAB radio has become hardly worthwhile over this last month. Listening to BBC stations, BBC radio2, BBC radio4, BBC radio4 extra is proving to be very frustrating as the station will be lost for a couple of seconds to tens of seconds every so often during any transmission.
What is going on please?
Kind regards John

John Baker: Hi.

As you seem to be outside the official areas covered by DAB, then you are probably experiencing the intermittent effects (often the weather) that put you beyond the predicted coverage areas.

The best thing you can do is mount the aerial as high up as you can. If the set is portable, try moving it upstairs. You may need a roof mounted aerial to get reliable reception.
