I live in EH14. Have lost Quest, ITV3, BBC Parliament, all shopping channels, Challenge and 5USA overnight. Never did receive Dave, Yesterday, ITV4, Pick TV or Film4 so Freeview is becoming a bit of a joke. Anyone know if this is it or if there are any further changes still to be made?

I'm in West Linton (EH46), can only get limited Freeview channels and none of the good ones... Anyone in West Linton able to get reception from a different transmitter and all the channels?

Richard - It seems you are on a "Freeview" Lite transmitter at West Linton. Dependent on your exact locus it might be just possible to pick up Blackhill, but you really would need to check this out with preferably a local rigger. Your aerial would need re-confiqured were reception possible. I have knowledge of West Linton and I would have thought were you to reside at the south end of the village, in the development that is extremely low lying then you might have a difficulty. If you have a clear line of sight to the South East where you are, then your best option may be to consider "Freest" which will certainly give you a much greater channel selection and choice of viewing material. You however, then would need a "Freesat" receiver and dish installation - not an overlay expensive outlay dependent on the choice of receiver.This service is supported by the BBC and ITV is non subscription.

Jack: Have you retuned today? All multiplexes (except for BBC A) have moved to different frequencies this morning. You will need to do a full retune (also called Full Reset, Default Setting, First-Time Installation, or Virgin Mode) to ensure that the box forgets all previous settings.
Can you provide a full postcode?
This is the last set of changes at Craigkelly.
If the retune doesn't fix the problem, check that it is not on the list of boxes that don't support 8K mode at http://www.digitaluk.co.uk/2kequipment and isn't on the list of problems with the larger Network Information Table at http://www.digitaluk.co.uk/splitnit . However, I would have expected you to have had problems with the BBC channels over the last two weeks.
Another common explanation is that you have too much signal. If you have a booster or amplifier, try removing it or turning it down. If that doesn't help, or you don't have one, try adding an attenuator.

edin: You have to have a "Freeview HD"-branded box or TV to receive HD channels. Just an 'HD Ready' TV is not enough.
HD Ready indicates that the TV can accept and display HD signals from another source. It might have an integrated digital tuner, but it won't implement all the standards necessary for HD TV in the UK. These are:
- DVB-T2 (not just DVB-T) for the multiplexed signal
- MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 for the more efficient compressed picture
- The BBC's special Huffman tables to decode the EPG data
If you're using a PC with a TV tuner card or USB tuner that claims to be able to do HD, it may be able to do it overseas, but not here. Some other countries use the older MPEG-2 video compression on DVB-T, and some use MPEG-4 AVC on DVB-T, but here DVB-T2 is required.

Gaz: If the flat uses a communal aerial, the system may need adjusting for the new channels and power levels. Check with your landlord or agent - see PARAS - Professional Aerial Riggers Against The Sharks for some more advice.
Looking at the prediction for that postcode - which shows 100% probability of reliable reception across the board - it's probable that you have too much signal. If the landlord won't sort it out, try fitting an attenuator, although if the distortion is occurring at the master distribution amplifier, it won't help you.
Check if your neighbours are affected too.

Graham Ellery: Hi Briantist. 15th is here and now another batch of channels have gone.So no sign of any improvement. See my/your comments 13th June. Perfect freeview on a wide range of channels pre-switch now down to a very limited range. So the benefit of the switchover is that we get less and less channels.
