Sorry, it all seemed clear to me :)
By split, I mean that I would expect them to all be recording on the same tuner, whichever was used for the first HD recording.
The tuners only have information for the Oxford Transmitter, I'm using MediaPortal, so you supply a fixed set of frequencies to scan. They don't scan the whole range.
The behaviour is similar to the Channel list Management you mention but these are not Freeview Play devices.

Hmm, odd.
Well, I know nothing about MediaPortal (other than what it is!) so can't offer any specific comment on that.
It's always possibly that whatever the engineering works entail, it might cause some strange behaviour!
The only additional information I can offer is -
1) Please note the frequencies given at the very top of the page have not been updated since the 700MHz Clearance.
PSBs 1 & 2 are exactly on channel C41 & C44 and COM5 is exactly on channel C37. There are no offsets on any of the channels here now. If you are tuned with an offset, this could cause problems.
(FYI Auto channel tuning on TV sets etc do not have a problem tuning if there's an offset or not. Offsets are typically 166KHz, the numbers on this site are rounded to 0.2Mhz).
Also the Local mux is broadcast on two channels beamed in different directions -
On C46 to the East, and on C22 to the SW and NW.
2) I'm led to believe there are still remaining bugs in the EPG (not an area of my expertise) so how this may affect your listings is unclear, and I wouldn't like to hazard any guesses.

Hello,
Is anyone else having issues with some of the Great! channels ? Up until several weeks ago, we could reliably receive Great! Movies and Great! Romance (channel numbers 50 and 52), from the Oxford transmitter.
Then something changed and they have disappeared from channel numbers 50 and 52, instead being listed as 792 and 793. When either of these is selected, there is neither sound nor video.
We have twice followed all the advice on the Freeview website, but this has not changed anything.
When we have phoned Freeview (twice now) they only say there is engineering works, and won't pursue the issue further.
Its all very frustrating !

That sounds like a typical cop-out from the Freeview bots that answer the phones (who I might add generally have no technical/engineering qualifications!).
Those two channels moved from the Local multiplex to the ArqB/COM6 mux a while ago where they are working fine. Great! TV moved on June 21st, Great! Romance moved on July 19th.
The "remnant" channels on 792/793 ultimately showed "retune" information.
There have also been a number of other commercial channel changes since those dates.
It sounds like you probably need a full retune. As there is engineering work at present, signals may not be 100% reliable and manual retuning would be the best option but only if you don't have pixellation on the channels.
I would clear all your old current tuning first by unplugging the aerial, do an automatic retune and no channels should be found. Plug the aerial back in and do a manual retune.
In the multiplex order BBCA/PSB1, D3&4/PSB2, BBCB HD/PSB3, SDN/COM4, ArqA/COM5, ArqB/COM6
Oxford UHF channels are for the main multiplexes are C41, C44, C47, C29, C37 & C31
If you haven't moved since 2011, the Local mux L-OFD for you it is on C22, otherwise if you are to the East of the transmitter it's on C46.

Have had very intermittent signals for the last two days (daytime and evening) in the Cirencester area. Really bad today. Wondering if there is some atmospheric issue going on.

P.S. Have reset Humax Freeview boxes (deleted all channels, rescanned only the Oxford transmitter), and also reset a Freeview TV. Am having periods of absolutely zero signal, no strength or quality. I have removed a distribution amp from the wiring to see if it is that (nope!). I am towards the edge of the transmission area to be fair but this is the worst I have seen in years. I always manually tune to 41, 44, 47, 29, 37 & 31. Went through all the frequencies last night and managed to pick up CH35 which gave me London Live (!) and I can only assume that was Crystal Palace which would be a new experience as I don't think I ever pick up that. I point at the Oxford transmitter not the local Cirencester one. Mendip would be an alternative and is almost 180 degrees opposite (off by about 30 degrees) but I can occasionally pick up some stray channels.
Any clues anyone? Am relieved that Amanda seems to be having an issue too although she is quite far away.
